Overview

The Professional Nurse/Clinical Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized, holistic, person‑centred nursing care for patients, families, or the community. The nurse coordinates patient care within the multidisciplinary health team, applying scientifically based nursing theories and processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a clinical resource in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care.
• Communicate and interact with families and health professionals to advocate for optimal patient care.
• Coordinate communication between nursing management and unit staff to resolve patient care issues.
