**Job Description**

This role focuses on the removal, repair, overhaul, installation, alignment, and testing of mechanical and hydraulic systems on ships and submarines. You will work as an Outside Machinist across multiple specialty areas, including general marine machinery, sail and mast systems, propulsion equipment, and steering and diving systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operation of critical naval assets.

**Responsibilities**

+ Experience repairing and overhauling ship mechanical and hydraulic components such as diesel engines, hatches, valves, pumps, and related equipment.
+ Experience performing work in accordance with SUBSAFE requirements and the NAVSEA Submarine Safety Requirements Manual.
