Job Description

• A cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including offices, hospitals, schools, and residential buildings. Their role is essential in ensuring environments remain sanitary, safe, and visually appealing for occupants.
• Cleaning and sanitizing: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, walls, windows, and surfaces. Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Trash disposal: Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste according to safety and recycling guidelines.
• Surface cleaning: Wipe and disinfect surfaces such as desks, countertops, tables, and furniture.

Education

• Typically, no formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent is often preferred.

Experience

• Previous experience in cleaning or custodial work is usually preferred but not always necessary. On-the-job training is often provided.
