The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the Civil Design Engineer are outlined as follows:
- Understanding of civil engineering principles and their application to water and wastewater infrastructure (treatment works, pipelines, pumping stations).
- Familiarity with UE design standards, codes and guidance.
- Awareness of geotechnical considerations (foundations, ground conditions, settlement etc)...
