Chief Officer

**Job description**:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient management of the Marine Department. Where necessary, Chief Officer shall deputise for the Master/OIM.
- When Vessel is operating in Dynamic Positioning Mode the Chief Officer may perform the additional role of Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator (SDPO) when on watch.
- Perform active leadership in close cooperation with Master/OIM and other department leaders.
- Actively involve him/herself in HR tasks that include assessment and appraisal interviews, sick leave follow-up, general personnel collaboration and keep a close dialog with shore based management about the same.
- Overall responsibility for the Marine Department operation.
**Job requirements**:
CoC as per STCW Regulation II/2 (Chief Mates Unlimited)
DP Certificate (unlimited) issued by the Nautical Institute (for DP operation)
STCW Accredited Ship Security Officer Certification
