About the role:
This is a new position created as an organisational priority and commitment to developing the organisations' data analytics capability. The Chief Data Officer (CDO) is the organisation's senior executive accountable for the strategic leadership, governance, ethical assurance and value realisation of enterprise data, analytics and artificial intelligence (AI). The role ensures that data and AI are used lawfully, ethically, transparently and explainable way to enhance operational policing, intelligence‑led decision‑making, organisational performance and public trust.
