ChampionX (now part of SLB) seeks a Chemist based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The role involves developing, optimizing, and applying production chemical solutions for oil and gas customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Technical Support, Product Development and Selection.
• Conduct laboratory testing to develop, select or evaluate product performance, secondary properties and compatibilities. Prepare technical reports on the completed lab work.
• Support field-based projects, including troubleshooting chemical‑related issues, conducting product selection and evaluation, and executing field trials.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams regionally and globally on technical projects, roll‑out new developments and/or optimize internal processes.
• Implement and follow the company’s safety policy (Goal Zero) and procedures. Update laboratory test procedures and safety‑related documents where necessary.
