Vacancy Description
The Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) provides advanced clinical support to ophthalmologists, optometrists, and residents in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. Working under the direction of a provider, the COA performs comprehensive ophthalmic examinations, advanced diagnostic testing, assists with in-office procedures, accurately documents clinical findings, and serves as a clinical resource to support high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations.
+ Obtain and document comprehensive medical and ocular histories, medications, allergies, and chief complaints.
+ Perform advanced ophthalmic examinations, including visual acuity, refraction, lensometry, keratometry, pupil assessment, extraocular motility, confrontation visual fields, color vision testing, stereopsis, and intraocular pressure measurements.
