Vacancy Description

Currently CP Unlimited is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team of professionals to work in our Bronx Community Living Program . The COTA is responsible for implementing prescribed occupational therapy treatment programs that have been selected and delegated by the supervising Occupational Therapist. Provides services that will maintain and/or restore function secondary to acute or chronic disability, conducts annual screens, and daily documentation.

Specific Position duties of the COTA Include:

  • Reviews medical records, verifies MD’s orders and occupational therapist’s assessment prior to implementing OT treatment. Maintains active/up to date MD prescriptions as outlined by NYS Department of Health (DOH) and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) depending upon work assignment.
