Certified EKG Technician (Full Time, Days)

Job Summary

:Operates electrocardiograph (ECG or EKG) equipment to record electric variations and impulses of the heart for use in the diagnosis of heart disorders. Places Holter monitors (24-hour ECG recordings), scans Holter monitors and provides a preliminary result to physicians, and assists with exercise (stress) testing.

Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements:

Certified Cardiographic Technician or other advanced training and registry via CCI - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.

Experience in the use of ECG and/or Holter and stress test equipment.

American Heart Association (AHA) BLS - maintain active and in good standing throughout employment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

High school education or equivalent preferred.

1-2 years of experience in the use of ECG and/or Holter and stress test equipment preferred.
