Casual Scribe/Ophthalmic Writer (Children's Hospital)

UPMC is hiring a Casual Scribe/Ophthalmic Writer to join their Department of Pediatric Ophthalmology at UPMC Children's Hospital! The Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus, and Adult Motility at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is comprised of 4 clinic locations and one administrative space, all working as a team to provide the highest level of care to patients and families through clinical expertise, research initiatives, and strong administrative support. This unique role is a great opportunity for individuals seeking clinical experience and exposure prior to medical, nursing, or scientific programs.

This position will be responsible for preparing notes for the day, partnering with a provider and dictate the note on the provider's behalf, assisting with minor testing, helping clean and turn over exam rooms, completing depart summaries, assisting with appointment and surgery planning, and other duties as assigned.
