Overview

Icebolethu Burial Services, a subsidiary of Icebolethu Group, is seeking Part Time General Assistants based in various areas. The successful candidates will perform tasks supporting Burial Services.

Responsibilities

• Assists in removals.
• Registering deceased details on the mortuary register.
• Ensure that items are labelled correctly.
• Wash and store bodies in the mortuary tray as per the register and board number.
• Ensure that all bodies are properly stored in their assigned locations.
• Assist in identifying bodies.
• Clean and prepare bodies for autopsy.
• Cleaning of the mortuary and viewing area.
• Sterilize autopsy equipment and set out all necessary instruments for the pathologist.
• Wash and sterilize all instruments after autopsy.
• Wash and prepare bodies for collection.
• Coffining of bodies.
