Vacancy Description
The Carrier Manager monitors, coordinates, and improves field service activities for the company by acquiring, managing, and organizing 3rd party carriers necessary for last-mile logistics services based on demand. This position provides support and guidance to the operations that includes but not limited to carrier onboarding, carrier delivery, and ongoing carrier relations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with District and Logistics Management/Leads to schedule/dispatch third-party carriers for service based on customer demand and planned trucking needs. Maintain continuous and effective communication with all carriers.
- Work in conjunction with District, Logistics, and Safety management/departments to develop, implement, and maintain standardized practices related to 3rd party carrier operations.
