Main purpose of the role

:

As a member of Liverpool Carers Centre team, you will work with unpaid carers to support them to access practical and emotional support.

As a Carers Development Worker, you will aid in empowering carers to take control of their own health and wellbeing. You will give time and focus on the what matters to me philosophy and take a holistic approach to connect carers to community groups and statutory services.

Core responsibilities of the role will be:

Scope of Role:

  • To support carers through the Carers Assessment process. This will be achieved in a variety of ways e.g., visiting carers in their own homes when appropriate or elsewhere to offer support. The role is based predominantly in the community with home visits being the primary method of contact.
  • Completing Carers Support Plans with carers using a person-centred approach.
