Responsibilities
- Bill primary and secondary claims.
- New accounts are scrubbed (all data is verified and confirmed that it is entered correctly).
- All claims are scrubbed to (ensure codes and # units are billed correctly).
- Electronic claims are batched and sent through the clearinghouse.
- Rejected claims are checked, corrected and re-billed.
- Paper claims are printed, along with any additional documentation and mailed.
- Un-billable claims are sent back to FD with notes (regarding what is needed and that once received back, corrected claims are billed).
