Why this role matters
The Technical Release Manager owns the end-to-end execution of releases in practice. This role ensures that releases are correctly prepared, executed, validated, and closed across engineering, product, and delivery teams.
The release manager is hands‑on during release windows, acts as the primary operational contact, and ensures that what was planned is what actually runs in production. The role does not design release tooling or strategy but uses those systems to drive safe and predictable releases.
