Supplier Quality Engineer

Introduction
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Quality Engineer position, located in Longmont, CO. This position is a contract hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site for a duration of one year.
Summary

The selected Quality Engineer will be responsible for managing quality performance of assigned suppliers. Responsible for product / part qualifications. Tracks metrics & works on quality improvement plans addressing problem areas. Reviews & approves quality plans. Investigates quality escapes to provide root cause analysis & ensures effective corrective and preventive actions are taken. Mentors suppliers in the application of quality requirements and tools. Provides onsite support as needed.
Travel Estimated at 50%-60% (to supplier sites completing inspections and audits), some possible travel international to Canada, Mexico, etc on occasion.
