Staff Platform Engineer / Tech Lead (70% Hands-on)

Remote People is headhunting a Staff Platform Engineer for a leader in the Open Banking (PSD2) space. We are not looking for a generalist. We need a technical powerhouse who understands that in Fintech, Security is the Product. You will lead a squad of 3, acting as the primary architectural partner to the CTO to build a high-compliance, zero-trust platform.

The Context & Leadership:

You will report directly to the CTO. Our client is at a stage where easy to onboard is no longer a valid architectural justification. We need a Technical Bar Raiser who can defend tool choices based on ecosystem health, long‑term scalability, and regulatory rigor—not just personal familiarity.
