Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to join high-impact engineering team building next-generation intelligent systems reshaping the future of mobility and automation. This role is located in McLean, VAthrough 100% full onsite presence. The Software Engineer will lead design, development, and testing of modern C++ software prototypes.

Responsibilities of the Software Engineer include:

  • Lead end-to-end development of C++ research prototypes & proof-of-concepts, including testing & demonstrations across diverse intelligent systems
  • Improve & maintain software quality by managing technical debt, shaping open-source contributions, & guiding best-practice adoption across teams
  • Analyze, refactor, & modernize existing software architectures to enhance modularity, scalability, & long-term maintainability
