Software Engineer, Java (Regulatory Onboarding)

Your mission

As an engineer within the Ops Hub at Bitpanda, you will own and drive technically critical, high-impact projects across our payments, compliance and risk infrastructure. You will help build and scale robust, resilient backend systems — from payment-processing services and PSP integrations, to real-time transaction screening, risk-detection pipelines, alerting and case-management tooling — ensuring that as we expand across Europe (and beyond), our infrastructure remains secure, performant, compliant, and ready for growth. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Payments, Compliance, Fraud & Risk Ops, Finance, etc.), and architect, build and maintain services that safeguard our customers and the platform while enabling seamless growth and localisation.
