Our team builds and operates one of the largest distributed storage systems at AWS — infrastructure that is foundational to how AWS runs. EC2 instance launches, cross-region disaster recovery, and backup workflows across AWS all depend on what we build.
We're looking for a Software Development Engineer to help us design, build, and operate the systems behind EBS Snapshots — from control plane APIs and large-scale data movement to storage lifecycle management. You'll tackle challenges involving consistency at scale, cross-region data operations, and building services that millions of customers rely on every day.
We operate infrastructure in the critical path for AWS and regularly collaborate across organizational boundaries to deliver for customers. If you want your engineering decisions to have real impact at AWS scale, we'd love to talk.
