Job Summary

Theatre Technicians work alongside the Technical Director and Shop Manager to create and implement scenic, lighting, projection, and sound designs in the SLCC Blackbox Theatre. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Maintenance, inventory, and installation of theatrical equipment, tools, rigging, and scenery. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Must be able to work independently without supervision. Minimum Qualifications One year of technical theater experience or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Completion of THEA 1513 – Stagecraft. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities High priority for safety in the workplace.
Carpentry, woodworking, and appropriate tools.
Working knowledge of lighting equipment for theatrical use.
Working knowledge of sound equipment for theatrical use.
