Senior Staff Accountant

Responsible for preparing monthly financial statements, posting journal entries, reconciling and analyzing accounts, preparing audit schedules and tax returns, completing accounting duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
-Prepare and post monthly financial data according to established guidelines and time frames.
-Produce financial statements for distribution in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
-Analyze general ledger accounts and research accounting inquiries received from department heads.
-Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers.
-Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports according to established guidelines and time frames.
-Participate in special projects.
-Prepare schedules for audit and tax returns.
-Knowledge and experience in using EXCEL, or similar computer software programs, is required.
-Data base application experience is helpful.
