Senior Software Engineer – Developer Experience & Code Quality

**Description**

In the Homeland Sector, our software helps protect communities and keep important systems running safely. As we build more software, we need to make sure it stays efficient, reliable, and easy to improve over time.

Must live in the Reston area and be able to commute to the Leidos GHQ office. Flexible to work remote with the ability to commute to the corporate office as needed.

This role plays a key part in that.

You’ll improve how software is built across the sector—making code simpler, reducing duplication, and helping teams follow better practices. You’ll track things like how much code we have, how complex it is, and how well it’s tested, then use that information to help teams improve.

You’ll also focus on making life better for developers by introducing modern tools and ways of working so teams can build software more easily and quickly.
