Senior Financial Accountant

A well-known Australian retail organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6 month contract, starting ASAP.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large, fast-paced business environment where you will play a key role supporting month-end, reporting and year-end processes within a collaborative and high-performing finance function.
Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end close, including journals, accruals and reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting commentary
• Assist with half-year and year-end reporting and audit requirements
• Variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior year
• Maintain financial integrity across the general ledger
• Support process improvement initiatives and ad hoc finance projects
• Mentor junior members within the finance team
