Job Description

Provides expertise for credit quality and underwriting operations for the market’s commercial loan portfolio. Assists the Chief Lending Officer in credit-related activities by monitoring the performance of the bank’s loan portfolio and maintaining effective credit risk management practices, while identifying emerging risks and preserving profitability for the Bank. Monitors and supports adherence to the credit culture and overall management of the market’s loan portfolio, loan documentation, and credit risk functions. Serves as an advisor on issues associated with loan policy, deal structuring, underwriting, and other risk management areas. Monitors the safety, soundness, effectiveness and growth of the portfolio and each client relationship to balance credit quality with loan growth targets. Helps develop a strong credit culture and underwriting skills in Commercial Lending team through consistent training and mentoring.
