Job Requirements:
Primary Duties: Recover surgical patients. Discharge home or admit to Med Surg floor. Perform patient call backs. Document in EMR.
Performs assessment on patients scheduled for surgery in a timely manner by utilizing all available resources (patient significant other, medical record, other health professionals, etc.)Assessments to be performed in a timely manner to avoid same day cancellation of cases.Documents assessment on the pre-op assessment form.Reports any medical problems to anesthesia.Orders and monitors results of ancillary tests needed and reports results out of the norm to anesthesia/surgeon.Tracks patients that require further medical workup or clearances prior to surgery.Instructs patients as to medications that should be taken prior to surgery.Revie...
