Unit Summary

The Cardiac and Vascular program is responsible for the care of patients on 5 South, 5 West, the CCU, CIU , HIU and the ICU West. Within the program, the Arrhythmia Service provides elective, urgent and emergent diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, (invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac ablation, permanent pacemaker or implantable cardioverter defibrillator insertion), for patients in South Central Ontario. The Cardiac Arrhythmia Service is compromised of two procedure rooms and a Reception/Recovery area. It also includes the Arrhythmia Device Clinic where post procedural and follow up care is provided in an outpatient ambulatory care set.

The Registered Arrhythmia Technologist in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Unit will work with the team to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to deliver safe and efficient patient care and outcomes. These procedures will include but not be lim...
