Radiation Safety Technician

Summary of Position

The Radiation Safety Technician is responsible for implementing portions of the Radiation Protection Program, supporting policies, programs and procedures as directed by the Principal Health Physicist or Health Physics Manager. The successful candidate will perform a wide variety of radiological assignments to monitor and minimize personnel exposures to radiological hazards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and procedures. This position monitors radiation safety compliance by performing regular radiological surveys, perform instrument calibrations, conduct audits for working areas and processes as necessary, collect and analyze environmental samples.
