Purchasing Specialist

We are working with a manufacturing client in Wayne County seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support day-to-day supply chain operations. This role is responsible for placing and tracking purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring materials arrive on time to support production demands. Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm



Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and availability
  
  Identify and evaluate new suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency


• Obtain and compare quotes to support cost-effective purchasing decisions


• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders within an ERP system
