Sidley Austin's Washington DC office seeks candidates with 8+ years of experience advising banks, bank holding companies, and their affiliates on prudential bank regulatory matters under U.S. federal and state banking laws. Candidate must have a strong understanding of the prudential bank regulatory framework and supervisory process.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Advise U.S. and non-U.S. banks, bank holding companies, and their affiliates on prudential regulatory requirements, including capital and liquidity, governance, and risk management. 
  • Advise on bank regulatory issues arising under the Bank Holding Company Act, National Bank Act, Federal Deposit Insurance Act, International Banking Act, Change in Bank Control Act, Community Reinvestment Act, and the Volcker Rule.
  • Advise banks and bank holding companies on regulatory notices and applications and chartering and licensing initiatives.
