Prototyping Lab Technician

About the role

Responsible to carry out rapid prototyping operations to produce prototype parts required for technology research and products to meet project time plans. The role will sit within the PTC Prototyping Team and will function as a subject‑matter expert in one or more of the following core areas: Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Stereolithography (SLA), Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM), Polyjet, laser‑cutting and workshop equipment. The position includes people‑management activities such as coaching, performance management and work allocation planning.

Key responsibilities

• Support and carry out in‑house rapid prototyping activities for SLS, SLA, FDM, Objet 3D printing, laser cutting and workshop operations.
• Plan, schedule, and track multiple prototype production processes simultaneously to meet time plans.
• Maintain daily equipment checklist and ensure all lab equipment is in good working condition.
