Purpose Statement

The collaboration between material sourcing and product development is critical to Plexus’ goal of Customer Service Excellence. The Product Development Sourcing Specialist (PDSS) role is a key bridge between the engineering and materials functions and works in support of Product Development Sourcing Managers to collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure on‑time and on‑budget design projects, leading to favorable cost management and a smooth transition during the Commercialization phase of the Plexus Product Realization Value Stream.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Supports unit cost management through all phases of the project to ensure that costs remain on target.
• Provides updates on unit cost trends to both the internal Plexus team and the customer.
