Vacancy Description
The Atlantic is seeking a short-term producer to join the team making a new weekly podcast hosted by David Brooks. The producer will be responsible for supporting host research and working with the senior producer to manage bookings, and work on show prep and recording logistics. This person will report to the senior editor of the show and will work closely with the show’s host, senior producer, and engineer. This is a full-time position for up to one year.
Responsibilities include:
Working with the host and editor to maintain editorial excellence
Work with the senior producer on end-to-end production of the show, from pre- to post-production, including:
Booking guests
Researching guests and topics
Cutting episodes
Work with teams across The Atlantic, including legal, art, audience, copy desk, story editors, and fact-checkers to ensure the highest-quality production standards
