• Heavy steam, grill, boil, cook or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and also various other components.
• Examine food and ingredients for freshness.
• Arrange and garnish meals.
• Work well under pressure and within time limitations.
• Make certain that kitchen location, equipment and tools are cleaned.
• Help lead as well as influence the kitchen staff with the restaurant manager.
• Prepare orders according to food safety criteria.
• Suggest ideas for specials or seasonal recipes.
• Sanitize and cleanse work terminals and tools.
• Reorder stock and food materials.
• Track other chefs and team participants.
• Assist other cooks in preparing food or assist other staff when neede...
