Requirements

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Work site environment: confined spaces, wet/damp, commercial, industrial, institutional, residential
• Physical capabilities: fast‑paced workplace, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling
• Personal suitability: accurate, client focus, excellent oral communication, team player

Responsibilities

• Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports
• Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe
• Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
• Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools
