Physical Therapy Assistant PD

Summary:

Under the general supervision of the licensed Physical Therapist and the Clinical Manager of the department the assistant is licensed by the Department of Health to assist in the practice of physical therapy. In accordance with the plan of care established by the physical therapist provides treatment to improve the functional status of their patient by achieving or restoring strength endurance and mobility. Physical therapist assistants provides treatment to patients of all ages as defined by the scope of practice of the department in which they work.
