Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Clayton, NC
Job Duration: 4-5 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm; Monday - Friday, rotate Saturday
Job Description
The PSR II is responsible for drawing blood specimens from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with established procedures. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients and helps create a professional, calm, and trustworthy experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples (venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric)
- Prepare and process specimens for lab testing
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling in the patient’s presence
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Follow all safety, confidentiality, and company procedures
