ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Prepares product/ assemblies/ parts for finish paint (after prime).
May assist in the training of new hires.
May perform some prep work of surfaces before applying coatings.
Mixes paints, primers, enamels, etc. in accordance with manufacture's specifications and/or the work order.
Applies coatings to surfaces of the product, assemblies, or parts with various types of equipment - sprayers, airless guns, electrostatic equipment, etc.
May be required to dispose or recycle paints, thinners and other chemicals and properly disposes of waste.
May be required to properly identify/ tag shipping containers containing hazardous waste.
May be required to clean up or assist in the clean up of hazardous materials spills throughout the plant.
