Job purpose:
Our growing and thriving Optometry office is looking for a full-time Optician for one of our optical locations. This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Optician, who wants an opportunity for career growth. The Optician is responsible for assisting patients with the selection of proper eyewear.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Process lab orders.
- Dispense glasses.
- Check, test, adjust and repair various aspects of lens and frame issues.
- Ensure proper merchandise presentation.
- Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and accurately describe the features and benefits of various lenses and frames to our customers.
- Instruct patients in adapting to, wearing of, and caring for eyewear.
- Knowledge of the different brands of lenses and lens materials currently available and willingness to keep current with new lens technologies is needed.
