Summary

JOB SUMMARY : The Nurse Educator will provide support to Acute Care and the Education Resource Center. Under limited supervision, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates education programs based upon adult learning principles. Works collaboratively with nursing leadership and clinical nurses to support nursing professional development and competency. Educator lends expertise to elevate nursing practice in service line and hospital-wide initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS : Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline. Bachelor’s in Nursing required, Master's required or enrollment in a Master’s program within 2 years of hire. National Certification required (Nursing Specialty, Nursing Professional Development or ASTD). Previous education/teaching experience preferred. 3-5 years of RN experience.
