Location: Sturbridge, Massachusetts

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for our client located in the Sturbridge, MA area. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity.
This is a 32-hour/week position, with two-12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday, and an 8-hour shift during the week. (Weekday can be flexible)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual and mechanical operations, including glass handling techniques, to support MCVD production for manufacturing high-quality optical fiber preforms.

  • Operate production tracking software and maintain accurate manufacturing records.

  • Conduct index profile testing to inspect and verify preform quality.

  • Support and participate in training activities to enhance team performance within the department.

  • Etch preforms using acid to achieve the desired diameter.
