Job Title Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician installs, operates, and maintains plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment. The position requires knowledge of and compliance with all state and local codes. Other maintenance functions assigned are performed as well. Essential Duties Summary Maintenance Technician

Make repairs and replacements to HVAC, electrical or plumbing systems as assigned.

Perform a variety of repairs, within their specified trade, on any/all equipment required to ensure that safety and the teaching and learning environment are not affected.

Secure parts and supplies as needed.

Obtain quotes from vendors as necessary for services, within their specified trade, as directed by the Director of Facilities.

Read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals to implement work.

Serve as the primary contact for all work orders related to the specified trade.
