Live Line (Glove & Barrier) Mechanic

About the role

As a Live Line Mechanic (Glove & Barrier) you’ll become part of a high-performing team that keeps WEL’s overhead network safe, reliable and ready for the future. Responsibilities

• Maintain 400V, 11,000V and 33,000V overhead lines and underground cables
• Construct new electrical reticulation in accordance with regulations, standards and policies
• Fault find and reactively repair network outages
• Participate in a 24hr callout roster for 24hr fault response and repair
• Effectively communicate with the control centre, dispatch and operations staff
