Legal Director

JOB PURPOSE

MSC Cruise Management UK is looking for a driven UK or EU Qualified Commercial/Shipping Lawyer with experience in shipping and/or insurance, to join their busy Legal and insurance team. Candidates shall be able to handle a variety of commercial and contract-related matters in a shipping context and liaise with opponent lawyers, shipyards, insurers, agencies, ship command, and other departments.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Handles contract preparation and review – third party vendor contracts, shipbuilding/ ship repair and supply contracts;

•Assists in ship deliveries and the handling of guarantee issues;

•Assists in general litigation;

•Acts as part of the Legal Handles incidents and claims ;

•Liaises with senior management and department heads;

•Assists with company secretarial duties;

•Direct report to the VP, Legal;
