Laboratory Research Tech

The Department of Radiology is seeking a Research Technician. The primary locations of this position are Scaife Hall and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. This position will function as a Research Technician in a laboratory focused on molecular imaging of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases using small animals (primarily mice). Responsibilities include: - conducting cell biology laboratory experiments - maintaining mice colony (e.g., breeding, genotyping, keeping records) and performance of procedures - administrative tasks (ordering, maintenance of inventories). Biology degree is preferred.

Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.
