Junior Engineer – Bridge (Edmonton)

McElhanney is looking for an entry‑level bridge engineering role based in Edmonton, Alberta. The position is part of the Alberta Bridge Group and involves working on bridge culverts, standard bridges, major interchange and river crossings, including award‑winning projects such as the Stoney Trail Bridge Twinning.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with bridge inspections, assessments, and data collection.
• Support the development of conceptual and structural designs for various bridge types and transportation structures.
• Conduct hydrotechnical analyses of watercourse crossings and corresponding drainage basins using approved Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors (TEC) methodologies.
• Prepare design and contract cost estimates.
