About the job IT System Admin (Shipping)
- Management of IT systems, encompassing workstations and servers
- Set up workstations and accounts.
- Keep an eye on performance and make necessary system maintenance
- Investigate problems and disruptions
- Use firewalls, backups, and access controls to ensure security.
- Update systems with the latest models and releases.
- Assemble knowledge to instruct employees in new technologies
- Create an internal wiki containing IT policies, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Microsoft Office 365 Cloud hosting options, like Amazon Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with maintaining and administering MS SQL Server database systems
- Experience with ships and the shipping industry is preferred.
- Certification as an MCSE or CCNA is preferred.
