As a HIM Coder, you will:



The HIM Hospital Coder I is responsible for reviewing medical records and accurately assigning diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with recognized coding guidelines and organizational standards.

Day to Day Responsibilities Review inpatient and outpatient medical records daily to identify and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes. Abstract clinical data and ensure coding is completed within required productivity and compliance timelines. Apply ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II guidelines to ensure proper code selection and sequencing.
