Position Summary

Columbia Dining Services is a dynamic, progressive department in an exciting, fun environment with a customer-focused culture. We have an immediate opening for a Head Porter. Porters clean and maintain different areas of the Dining Halls, including but not limited to, kitchens, dining rooms, dish rooms, and basements.

Responsibilities

  • Directs the porters and/or storeroom checkers

  • Plans, lays out, and assigns work schedule and duties

  • Cleans and maintains areas such as, but not limited to, kitchens, dining rooms, and basements

  • Maintains storage and other assigned areas in a clean, orderly, and secure manner as prescribed by the Division of Dining Services, including, but not limited to, dry storage areas, walk-in refrigerators, and freight elevator

  • Assists in inventory and ordering procedures, safety and sanitation maintenance

  • Receives, stores and issues, by prescribed methods, food and ...
